Controller

The Opportunity…

This is a hands-on leadership position for a finance professional who enjoys more than accounting. In addition to owning the company's financial and accounting functions, this individual will oversee key administrative responsibilities including employee benefits, insurance, risk management, compliance, and vendor programs.

If you're highly organized, financially disciplined, comfortable taking ownership, and take pride in getting the details right, this is an opportunity to play an important role in the continued success of an established and growing company.

You Need…

Respect, recognition, challenge, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

You want to work for a financially stable organization that trusts your judgment and gives you the authority to take ownership of your responsibilities.

You thrive in a positive, collaborative environment where accountability matters and people follow through on their commitments.

You enjoy creating structure, maintaining accurate information, solving problems, improving processes, and helping leadership make informed decisions.

You understand that details matter. Whether you're reviewing a financial statement, reconciling an account, administering employee benefits, evaluating an insurance renewal, or ensuring the company remains compliant.

Most importantly, you take ownership and deliver on your promises. Doing it right counts.

We Want…

An experienced, organized, and highly accountable Controller to oversee the financial health, accuracy, and compliance of our company.

We are looking for someone with strong accounting and financial-management experience who is also comfortable overseeing broader administrative responsibilities, including HR and benefits administration, insurance, risk management, compliance, and vendor programs.

You are professional, discreet, analytical, and exceptionally detail oriented. You can move comfortably between financial reporting and day-to-day administrative responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

You don't simply report numbers, you understand what they mean, identify issues, ask questions, and provide leadership with the information needed to make sound business decisions.

Our Target Person Is…

  • An Owner – Takes responsibility for outcomes and follows issues through to completion rather than waiting for someone else to solve them.
  • Financially Astute – Understands accounting, financial statements, cash flow, job costing, margins, controls, and the financial drivers of a successful business.
  • Highly Accurate – Detail oriented and disciplined, with a strong appreciation for accurate financial reporting, documentation, compliance, and recordkeeping.
  • A Specialist – Confident in their expertise and comfortable being empowered to make appropriate decisions within their area of responsibility.
  • High Capacity – Comfortable managing multiple priorities, deadlines, projects, renewals, reporting requirements, and administrative responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Proactive – Identifies problems and opportunities early and takes initiative rather than waiting to be directed.
  • Discreet & Trustworthy – Understands the responsibility that comes with access to confidential company financial information and sensitive employee information.
  • A Strong Communicator – Able to communicate financial and administrative information clearly to leadership, employees, vendors, brokers, CPAs, and other professional partners.
  • Process Driven – Enjoys creating structure, improving systems, maintaining strong controls, and making sure important details don't fall through the cracks.
  • Collaborative – Works well with leadership and employees across departments while also being willing to hold people accountable when necessary.
  • Efficient & Responsive – Works with urgency while maintaining accuracy and appropriate follow-through.
  • Relationship Oriented – Builds productive, professional, long-term relationships with employees, vendors, insurance and benefits partners, and outside advisors.

Senior AV Technician

The Opportunity…

This is a hands-on field position for an experienced AV professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality technology systems and knows how to take ownership of an installation from deployment through commissioning.

You will work on sophisticated residential and specialty commercial projects involving audio/video, lighting control, automation, networking, and other integrated technologies. This position requires more than installation experience. We are looking for someone who can understand the complete system, troubleshoot problems, make sound decisions in the field, and ensure the finished project performs to our standards.

If you're technically skilled, highly organized, comfortable working independently, and capable of leading others in the field, this is an opportunity to join an established company working on some of the most exciting technology projects in the Santa Barbara area.

You Need…

Respect, recognition, challenge, and the opportunity to take pride in the work you deliver.

You want to work for a company that values technical expertise, professionalism, craftsmanship, accountability, and doing things the right way.

You thrive in an environment where you're trusted to work independently, solve problems, make decisions, and take ownership of the work assigned to you.

You enjoy technology and understand that being a great technician requires more than knowing how to install equipment. It requires planning, organization, troubleshooting, communication, attention to detail, and the ability to understand how an entire system works together.

You are comfortable communicating professionally with clients, builders, designers, other trades, project managers, and members of your team.

Most importantly, you take ownership and deliver on your promises. Doing it right counts.

We Want…

An experienced, technically proficient, and highly accountable Senior AV Technician capable of installing, configuring, commissioning, and troubleshooting sophisticated residential and commercial technology systems.

We are looking for someone with advanced experience in AV and automation control systems, including Crestron, Lutron, and URC, with the ability to program, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot these platforms.

You understand networking fundamentals and can configure and troubleshoot networks supporting modern AV and control systems, including routers, switches, wireless access points, VLANs, IP addressing, and connected devices.

You can read drawings and documentation, understand system architecture, install and terminate equipment correctly, configure devices, commission systems, identify problems, and see a project through to successful completion.

You are equally comfortable working independently or leading a team in the field. When leading others, you can plan the work, assign responsibilities, communicate expectations, maintain quality, and keep the team moving efficiently.

You don't simply identify problems—you troubleshoot, research, communicate, and work toward solutions.

Our Target Person Is…

  • An Owner – Takes responsibility for the quality and completion of assigned work and follows problems through to resolution rather than waiting for someone else to solve them.
  • Technically Advanced – Has strong hands-on knowledge of AV, automation, lighting control, networking, and integrated technology systems.
  • An Experienced Programmer – Experienced with programming, configuration, deployment, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Crestron, Lutron, and URC systems.
  • Network Capable – Comfortable configuring and troubleshooting residential and commercial networks, including routers, managed switches, wireless networks, VLANs, IP addressing, and connected AV devices.
  • A Problem Solver – Approaches technical challenges methodically and can troubleshoot systems, research solutions, and determine the appropriate next step without unnecessary escalation.
  • A Field Leader – Capable of leading and directing technicians in the field, assigning work, maintaining productivity, enforcing quality standards, and helping less-experienced technicians develop their skills.
  • Independent – Has the experience and confidence to execute familiar installations and technical tasks independently while knowing when additional information or support is appropriate.
  • Highly Detail Oriented – Takes pride in clean installations, proper labeling, accurate documentation, organized racks, equipment configuration, programming, testing, and final system performance.
  • A Strong Communicator – Communicates professionally and effectively with clients, builders, designers, other trades, project managers, and teammates.
  • A Self-Starter – Comes prepared, plans ahead, anticipates what is needed, and takes initiative without requiring constant direction.
  • Process Driven – Follows established installation standards, documentation requirements, commissioning procedures, safety practices, and company processes.
  • Organized – Maintains an organized workspace, vehicle, tools, materials, equipment, and project documentation.
  • Efficient & Responsive – Works with purpose and urgency while maintaining quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Client Focused – Understands that technical excellence must be matched by professionalism, respect for the client's property, clear communication, and an exceptional client experience.
  • Reliable & Professional – Shows up prepared and on time, follows through on commitments, and represents the company professionally in the field.
  • A Safe Driver – Possesses a valid driver's license and maintains a safe driving record suitable for operating company vehicles.
